Eevamaija Virtanen presents keynote and workshop on DW & BI Summit 2026

On the Datawarehousing & Business Intelligence Summit Eevamaija Virtanen will present her session Grounded AI in Data Warehousing: How to Make Your LLM Stop Lying. The Datawarehousing & Business Intelligence Summit takes place on March 24th in the Van der Valk Hotel Utrecht, The Netherlands. On March 25th Eevamaija Virtanen will present a workshop with the same title.

Eevamaija Virtanen is a lead data engineer and founding partner at Invinite, a health data company. Eevamaija has spent the past few years designing and implementing modern cloud data platforms, focusing on scalable pipelines, clean data modeling and DataOps practices. She is a regular guest on podcasts, webinars and panels including O’Reilly and Anaconda. She also hosts the Helsinki Data Mafia podcast, where practitioners speak candidly about the realities of working with data.

Hallucinations from AI can destroy trust in BI outputs. This technical session walks through building an LLM-powered analytics assistant that only answers from governed, verified data. Using Snowflake Cortex Semantic Models, Cortex Analyst, and Cortex Search, we’ll map business terms to actual definitions, auto-generate safe SQL and trace every step for auditability. You’ll see the full stack in action, with architecture diagrams and code patterns you can implement.

Grounded AI in Data Warehousing: How to Make Your LLM Stop Lying
AI in BI fails the moment users stop trusting the numbers. In this hands-on workshop you will deploy a working grounded analytics assistant inside Snowflake using Cortex Analyst. The workshop combines architecture, implementation and controlled failure testing. You leave with a working grounded AI assistant and the design patterns needed to harden it for real-world enterprise environments.
